Ficus at La Alameda
I have been in Cadiz for a few Easter days (back to Madrid tomorrow) and I have taken the opportunity to draw some scketches of local places. The one I am showing corresponds to gardens locally known as “La Alameda” facing the sea at the entrance of the bay. Two very large trees (Ficus macrophylla) are the protagonists in these gardens. Here is one of them. Graphite and charcoal. Hopefully it may be the basis for a possible watercolour painting.

Thank you, Marco. Alicante is a fantastic place for drawing and painting: an impressive castle, colourful promenades, a fantastic beach, a beautiful marina... and the weather now is great! Looking forward to see your sketches and paintings from Spain and Africa.
