Almost there?

A favorite place to get away... Algonquin Provincial Park in Ontario, Canada.

I feel I am almost there, but where would you suggest I go from here with my painting? Thank you!

Thank you so much, Marco!

Those whitish areas on the trunks seemed such an integral part of the scene as it was on the day. I don't know whether it was the bright light of the day shining on peeled areas of the bark or what, but I felt they needed to be there as part of the scene. As I don't have gouache or white watercolor, I scraped them out. They might not have been quite as white in real life, but they were rather outstanding in the scene that day. I've wondered whether viewers would understand them or think they should be toned down after scraping, but to me they were necessary to tell the story the way it was. After adjusting the scrapings just a bit, I liked them so I left them as is. 😊
