White Kremlin

ree

This is a view of a kremlin in Pskov - one of my most favorite kremlins. First of all it is made out of white stone that makes it shine and the structure itself is very complicated and massive. Inside walls it has comicly large stone steps - they were waist hight for me when I was 14 and even now they are hard to scale.

This is by far my moat complicated piece. I tried to make walls of the Kremlin white, but the chuch inside white-white, to make it pop. It still isnt watercolory enough, not as much as I wanted - I think I overdid the sky and made mud in the water. Still, I am very proud how it turned out.

This does have a certain story book atmosphere to it. The sky is very lively and adds drama. The foliage around the Kremlin is delicately painted too. The only thing I find disconcerting is the slope on the water, which tends to make the big tower look a little unstable.
