I too like this composition very much. I also agree with Susi's comments about the barn and trees framing the road. The barn adds some interest for the eye after looking down the road and keeps the eye moving around the picture. I go to the road first, then then up the diagonal slope of the hill, down to the barn, and that brings me back down to the road and the trees on the right. The dark trees add to the atmosphere of the time of day and their shadows add interest to the pavement. The cool mountains in the background add to the sense of distance and provide a good contrast to the trees on the slope and the warm colors on the sloped field.
If you have not yet checked out Ian Roberts' YouTube channel, I heartily second Helen's recommendation. In addition, he has an excellent book, "Mastering Composition." He works in oils, but good composition is good composition regardless of the chosen media.
