I think I understand how you feel. For

me, I have try couple forestry scenes and I feel what is lacking in the end is I lost my big picture, my main reason for painting it. Everything becomes important to me and with lots of details. At the end, none of them is important. Saying that, I personally picked out one or two trees that special to me and I add details to those. The rest just suggestion of vegetation. I hope that helps
