The little stonepier
I just bought a new kind of paper and a new quill. I tried them out on this motive based on a picture taken last fall. Amazing how different brands behave so differently. Now I only have to learn how to make the best of the individual qualities.

A compositional comment: Having the "peninsula" jutting out from the center of the painting is not helping the composition. If you were to paint this again, I suggest trying different options in sketch form to see what might work better. (My 2 cents.)
