Hello everyone,

I am a retired oil and gas executive, with advanced degrees in geology. I currently reside with my wife in Alabama, USA.

I have been creating visual art since October 2022, when I first picked up a pencil to draw for fun. My 7th grade art teacher said to me “Good thing you are good at math.”, a direct reference to my lack of artistic ability. I never tried again. I am an accomplished musician, and never even considered drawing or painting as a hobby until I tried to copy a drawing in a hotel room that October.

I love to learn, am not afraid of mistakes, and appreciate criticism as I learn. I really enjoy the journey!
