I am 72 and retired a while now living on the Oregon coast. I have always loved art and specially water color. A couple of years ago I picked up a brush and gave it a try after watching countless hours of "how to's" on YouTube. As of this writing I have not yet completed 50 paintings. I am working on my "brush miles" as I try to learn all the aspects and intricacies of water color painting of which there are many.

I have traveled a lot and always have my camera. I have 100's and 100's of photos which are my painting references. Every painting I do is a place I have been that stuck me in some way at the time.

I appreciate comments and suggestions for improvement and pointing out where I got it wrong. I find it easy to be blinded by self bias on what I create and so letting others view and comment, I believe, will give a more honest assessment of where I'm heading.
