I'm almost 70 years old, and live with my wife near the north coast of Wales, UK. My working life was spent as a mechanical engineer. I started painting as a young man, but put it aside due to work and raising a family, I retired 5years ago and took up painting again, since when it has become my overriding passion. My favourite medium is watercolour as I feel it conveys how I feel about the landscape, particularly the British landscape. I also sometimes paint with oils, and have tried pastels and acrylics, but didn't feel they were for me. I'm looking forward to being part of this forum helping and being helped to further enjoy painting and the landscape.
