First time posting here. I'm since ten years retired and decided for about eighteen months ago to start drawing and painting again (after a sixty year break!) to have something fun to do and to keep my braincells active and happy.
I live with my wife on the island Ingarö in the Stockholm archipelago. We often pass this view on our dogwalks. I have taken several photos from different angles and also made som previous attempts to paint it. There is lot of room for improvement and I would be happy to hear your suggestions. PS: This is actually a winter view, we don't have any snow in Stockholm yet.
I agree with Fi, a very beautiful scene that you captured well. I encourage you to continue. Ollie tells us when painting branches in trees, that if the leafy areas are damp, the branches will dissolve into the folliage and you should consider trying this. He has two videos specifically on painting trees tha you might enjoy watching
What a wonderful view! The way you’ve shown the sunlight, from low in the sky, with those beautiful colourful shadows, definitely feels like a winter scene.
l hope now you’ve picked the brush back up, that you keep painting!
