I like your fine delicate work. I would only change the bridge. It is too detailed for the middleground of your picture. You don’t have to paint every brick. Details only in the foreground.
I don't see any signs of fiddling too much.. Then you would have had muddy colours? I don't think you have to make excuses for enjoying detailed painting. It is a great painting!
