We just had out first snow in Denmark!
I always love the freshness of an unspoiled snow that's still to be walked upon, so here's a very breathy, spaceous painting without too much going on.

I decided to really play with the colours of the trees going over the frozen lake since I don't really have much of a classic 'design' or 'focal point' as it is. I always feel I got away easy when painting snow in watercolor 😅 it's like starting the painting everything is already snowcovered!

Yeah could be. I was worried about making this dark spot out in the side, when I really wanted to convey how easily I can breathe when I see these clear, open spaces. But I can see your point as well - certainly traditionally trees are much darker. I usually use them like that when I want to draw attention somewhere, like in this sketch.
Either way, thank you for your thoughts :)
