I started out with simply an abstract idea of mixing some colors on paper... letting them run as they will. Then let it dry and started lifting to create some sense of texture and depth. Finally, a tree seemed necessary to create a center of interest. It would have been very easy to fiddle too much because it was such fun. I maybe DID fiddle a bit too long. I did it last year, but it seems appropriate for the coming Halloween.
