I need some art for my bedroom, so I thought this simple piece would be a calming addition. Despite looking simple, watercolor always amazes me at how complicated it is. I had trouble making sure I didn’t get blooms in my larger washes. I think I did 4 layers on the sky because I couldn’t decide on colors! This leads to my next comment: that I need to create a light source that illuminates and is consistent in the painting. Maybe next time. It must be why I keep coming back—I always learn something.
