Tomtbod fishing camp

A few weeks ago my painting group met up at an old fishing camp up east for an outdoor session. Very nice weather and a nice site with lots of stonewalls and roofs to practice perspective and colour mixing. I made a double page sketch on site in my Khadi sketchbook, from which I later tried to make a larger version on a quarter sheet of Fabriano Artistico paper at home. At the moment I am very much into shadow shapes, trying to create some feeling of light in my paintings. Any comments and suggestions are most welcome as usual.

UPDATE 22 OKT 2023

Finally I did a third attempt on this subject. I had some very useful comments from you (thank you all!), and I also tried to imagine "what would Andy have done?", a very good advise from @Paul Oram, although not easily applied. However, this third version is, I hope, less cramped, less overworked and definitely final. I might go back there on site next year, to refresh my memories and get a new viewpoint. Maybe I will then be able to do it justice.

I just updated this post with a third version, since I really had to do something about all good observations and suggestions from the forum members. Any comments and further suggestions are most welcome
