Golf Landscape

Hello! Here in Georgia we have a lot of golf courses, and I like to paint them for friends. I find them to be tricky because the green is the dominant color in the background, middle ground and foreground. I tried to keep a muted palette, so I mixed my own greens out of ultramarine blue and cadmium yellow and yellow ochre. However, it is difficult for me to create depth between the middle and foreground--my tonal values are too similar I believe. I also struggled greatly with the bridge. How to approach the bridge?! Do I preserve light space with my blue as I am painting the water so that I have room to paint the bridge? Or do I use a darker tone and paint right over the water? Also, the tree shadows seem to end too abruptly.

I have only been painting a few years, and try to squeeze it in between being a full time mom of 2 toddlers and working at the hospital on weekends. So forgive my ignorance and I hope for some good advice!
