Winterscene on Bockingford

On this journey of learning, I now paint on Bockingford. First attempt a shear disaster! This time I managed to keep the washes even without watermarks. It is a really nice paper when I manage to keep focused. I tried with some maskingfluid and no problem! And I really like like how the colours appear, sort of on the surface of the paper.

The foreground is a practise of being creative and trying to paint what is needed. Haha! What a mess! I paint in some fencepoles that is not there, and felt that it needed darkening. Boom!

But I will cut out the trees and put that smaller painting in the scrapbook -with notes.

Onward Forward!

A new paper can take up too 10 failed paintings, before you know how it behaves. And I talk about my own experience. Yesterday I made a youtube demo, and it is absolutely a failure. Muddy and dull. Try one on the back later on. Have faith, and don't try too hard. Play with it, and it will come alright.
