Raccoon point salvie island
This is a nice berry picking trip with kids. I swing by the local view point, snap a photo and paint this at home.
I changed many things around it. Which is to say I don't paint the scene of the picture😁
Yes, my sketch only had one horizontal line and roughly how tall I want the cluster of trees to be. Both are done in about 30 minutes. Will definitely return to this spot coming fall for plein air.

So well done! I like most the well considered dry brushstrokes in the foreground and the trees, they give the picture crispy edges, which make it loose and watercoloury.
