Serenity
This 11x14 was a studio painting created fro a plein air I did of a scene in the woods outback from my house. First I did a plein air sketch the a small sketch book painting in the studio before tackling the final. A lot of negative painting of a very complex scene. I'll try and post my process fro. Start to finish.

Thanks for sharing your multiple steps in achieving a beautiful image of foliage, reflections and water plants. I particularly like the way your dark values frame the last picture and these dark values are echoed in portions of the background image. This draws my eye into the complex shapes of the trees and water lilies. The foreground grasses in the water and their reflections are superb. Brava!
