River Eden from Langwathby Bridge, Cumbria

I'm working on making my winter trees and landscapes a bit more naturalistic. Here I've tried dry brushing for the first time and also reflections in water. I think it's all got a bit over worked and the perspective of the river is not quite right. But I'm still pleased and learned a lot from doing it. It was more difficult because I had to paint flat as I'm away from home staying at Langwathby. Any comments and suggestions for improvement very welcome 🙏🏼

I lowered the horizon so the land is flatter, and just suggest forms. And simplify it. Maybe you ask why the rectangle in the sketch is so visible. Well that rectangle is, when I enlarge the sketch to a qrt sheet, half sheet or whole sheet of watercolor, it remains in those proportions. So I could scan this image, enlarge it in a photo program and enlarge it, and trace it exactly how I want to make it on the format I want. And tracing is not illegal, because it is my own sketch. It would be different when I would trace the photo.
