The Llywelyn monument

Llywelyn ap Gryffudd died in 1292 at the end of the Battle of Irfon Bridge where the Welsh fought the English armies of Edward 1st. He was the last Welsh Prince and his death marked the end of Welsh independence. This stone was erected in 1902 near to the spot where he died which is not far from where I am. To be honest there are more trees than I have put in surrounding the stone creating a nice green backdrop in the Summer, but a tangle of branches in the Winter. All comments welcome.
