This street through the old town past the hospital in the Hague, has the sun shining directly into it late in the afternoon. My favourite streets now seem to be those that offer some sort of dramatic lighting for painting, watercolours are now influencing how I navigate the city! The sky was first painted with some naples yellow and then I added the blue washes, so that was inspired by Ollys last YT video. Then I have tried as much as possible to work in three stages as Andy Evansen. I am pleased with the cyclists head as it blends into her coat and creates a lost edge. I need to do a lot more of this.
