Watercolour and football connections continued …

Alan Shearer left Southampton to play for my team, Blackburn Rovers, and then went on to his beloved Newcastle. Supporting teams like these is a great character building preparation for dealing with the ups and downs of watercolour painting. :)

Congratulations for the fund raising and also on the painting, Owen. It’s a strong composition and a brilliant capture of the goal celebration. I seem to remember that Shearer rarely ended up in a huddle like this for his raised-arm sprints after scoring.
