Mist in the Harbour
Inspired by the new video by Andy Evensen (thanks @Marion Starr and @Paul Oram ) I had a go at some boats on my plein-air session yesterday. We had a wonderful mist coming in from the sea and quiet reflections on the surface. There was no time for a tonal study, so I tried my luck directly on a sheet of Arches CP. Glad I did, since the mist got denser, and I wanted to capture the misty pine forest in the backdrop. After I started it was all white out there, but then I could focus on the jetty and the boats. A lot to improve painting water and reflections, but I feel confident that with more practice it will come.
All comments and suggestions are most welcome.
