Trevose Head, Cornwall

We spent last weekend in Cornwall, visiting family. I took the reference photo for this painting during a walk from Booby's Bay, over the headland to Harlyn Bay.

I was hoping to suggest mist on the horizon by having the sky blend with the water, but I've left a pesky pencil line despite a deft touch with a kneadable eraser. Ah well...

Thank you for all your suggestions. I have reworked the painting to reduce the effect of the pencil line by adding more contrast to the horizon. I can live with the result. More importantly, I have attempted to solve the problem of the rocks "floating in air" by adding more colour and, I hope, more life to the sea. This has added a bit more believable depth to the painting.
