We have a lot of mixed forests here with tall evergreens and leaf trees and you see scenes like my painting very often, especially in winter when snow is missing. The fog swallows up almost all sounds and colours, everything appears monochrome and the only splashes of colour are the last leaves on a few leaf trees and patches of green moss. An ideal motif for me to practice painting “wet on damp paper”, puddles and evergreens…
