I had a go today at trying an imaginary scene just for practice. I was trying out mixing just using three colours (ultramarine, raw sienna, burnt sienna), and also trying to get the direction of light and a bit of depth. I think the trees went quite well and the reflections, but I made a mess of the shadows on the land and couldn't fix it. I'm going to do loads more of these to practice my technique.
