I lived in the Eastern Upper Peninsula of Michigan for 12 years and the beauty of the region still haunts me. The Boreal forest is the most fairytale forest I have ever experienced. Such a lovely combination of hard woods, and conifers. Rare species of flora and fauna are so delightful. This painting is fresh and lovely. So typical of those autumn birch trees in your region. Your painting made me fell nostalgic and transported me back to many fond memories along the lake shore there. I don't think there is a higher compliment. Thank you
