Sky rush
Today in the dunes I 'climbed' the 'hague peak' which is all of probably 30 metres above sea level, but it afforded me a great 360 view of the winter sunset. I'm getting quite addicted to the rush of trying to paint the sky as it moves constantly around - at this time of the day and year it seams particularly bonkers - so armed with some newly gained knowledge from Olly's fantastic sky tutorials I went for it.
The panorama was a real eye opener, at one point the sun hit just the top edges of the dunes, so all was dark apart from the crests of the peaks, I tried to capture something of that moment, but of course ten seconds later it was gone.
The sun burst through the clouds a bit later, my attempt at that without being blinded got a little muddy so i haven't uploaded it, but the peripheral clouds and bursts of blue was a riot of colour - that im quite pleased with so that's here as well.
In the end though I'm really not that bothered how the pictures turned out as I purposely overworked them to just follow what was happening before my eyes, it was more about the actual experience of sitting through the sunset and trying to observe what happens.

Very good explanation of your exercise. I really enjoyed the bottom painting.
