Pett level old groynes

This is an area of mostly shingle coast just near where we live in East Sussex. The groynes are there to reduce the west-east erosion and shingle movement. I've taken to doing quick ink & wash birthday cards for a group of friends and this is the latest one for Sue.. Takes about an hour and they seem to be enjoyed.

Thanks Trevor. I ‘m not thrilled by the sand areas. There was sand at the top changing to shingle further away which I tried to show with spattering with a toothbrush. I didn’t like it so painted it out. I haven’t given Sue the card yet so I shall try lifting out some is the excess sand colour. I’m stuck with horizon line as it’s non-soluble ink
