My first 2023 watercolour. I’ve followed Olly’s winter tree tutorial (broadly speaking, slightly reimagined the composition but followed all the techniques). My tutorial consumption diminished greatly in the latter half of last year and my aim for next year is to be more proactive in getting local inspiration. I enjoyed this tutorial though, and it’s highlighted that I need to do a lot more observation of trees! Hope 2023 treats you all well.
