Pyes Mill Loddon, Norfolk Broads
I took this photo January this year at around 8.30am, I'm one of those types who just loves to be out at sunrise everymorning, luckily my two hounds, Belle and Pippa love it too and always try to rush me along whilst sipping my early morning coffee. During the summer I naturally awake at 3.30am; I feel deeply intune with the circadian rhythms. The country side has always been my great love and with the joy of painting it feels right for me now (after focusing some time on animals and portraits) to bring my two loves together. I found Oliver a few months back and completely absorbed his YouTube Channel, found his blogs, and this community and then joined his patreon course.. which I've digested all off in a short space of time and I will digest it again in its entirety I'm sure before his next lesson comes out. Anyway.. I ramble as a way to introduce myself. I'm a Mum, wife, dog lover, home educator, at present my body is not behaving as it should and I've recently had major surgery which has changed my life, my body functions and my outlook for the future drastically and so... well.. I'm now in it to have fun.. and do the things that I love and enjoy. Painting, walking daily and a gentle kayak up the river every now any again are the things that keep me sane in life and able to show up for those I love too. Something I recently found out about myself that although I do love to talk 😉 I'm a bit of a hermit and have no issues with spending long periods of time by myself or just with my dogs, Apparently I have this ASD which helps that.
Anyway so since digesting all of Olivers teachings i studied one of my favourite places at my most favourite time of the year. I made a plan book did sketches, wrote lots down, had a plan of attack, so to speak. Here is my first attempt, now i will go at it again as I know I made a few rookie mistakes, one being that I used brown.. all by itself.. and it doesn't sit nice with the other mixes.. and the other I want to give more depth to the perspective and leave some of my pesky fiddling out.
This place is in the village where I live.

Perfect. I would be very happy with this result.
