Streamlet

Hello, I´m new to this forum and I would like to share my last exercises with you.

I started again with watercolours three years ago and in the first time I tried to connect to the former experiences, but the result was very frustrating. But since I followed this forum, I know what I have to do: go back to the basics and practise, practise, practise………

The reference photo was taken on a cold cloudy day and it shows a little streamlet where I often played as a little girl with my girl-friend. As you can see in the little sketches, I had the intention to include the railing, but during the first attempts with watercolour, I thought it would be better to do without it.

Any comments and helpful critique are very appreciated!

Pigments: French ultramarine and burnt sienna, white watercolour pencil

Paper: Arches rough 300g
