A simple landscape on untreated cotton

I wanted to contribute here from the get-go but the only picture I have on my phone is this test landscape I did on a sheet of untreated cotton.
The surface is very unforgiving, in that it easily starts crumbling if you touch it while it’s wet, or try to erase from an underdrawing. I also doubt it’s archival in any sense of the word. But it does lend itself to great texture if you can keep it to simple washes.
Perhaps an unusual learning tool if you tend to overwork areas?

The contrast between warm sky and cool land is beautiful.
Maybe it’s the perfect learning tool if that’s the case! I guess it makes it easier to know when something is being overworked?
