Here is a sixth or seventh attempt at painting this image; I was inspired by Edo's ideas and the image he posted to try a looser style. The painting is still not there, but definitely getting better. I'm going to give it a rest and try again at some point. Here the horizon line is lower and there's a more sky. I did try to work on the edges, but toward the end my habitual way of working took over. Sorry!
