Such lovely memories of walking up this lane each morning on my recent holiday to the Gers region of France near the Pyrenees. I've set to with my favourites raw sienna, ultramarine and burnt sienna and just a bit of violet for the shadows. I've been working on getting my trees looking more natural and hopefully that comes through. This scene is in my heart and now I know what Oliver Pyle means when he suggests painting scenes that are meaningful to you 💚
