Boats at Beer
So have been painting for a month now, after being given a tutorial book on how to paint 8 pictures. This sparked enough interest to discover more, which led me to you tube and Ollie and Edo. What a difference watching both of them has made, not necessarily yet to my ability to paint but, definitely in my attitude to painting and that it is only me that will make me better by practising skills not copying pictures.
So here is my first "solo" painting of a couple of boats on a beach at a place called Beer. So excited about the journey ahead and picking up advice from this forum

Steve, I was rather amazed at what you had been able to do after only a month. I had looked at your painting and had read the great advice you had been given, but had to run before I commented. Then when I came back again just now to view your post again, voilá, you had taken all the advice and run with it! Wonderful! You are well on your journey with watercolor. 😊
