Nürnberg Wasserturm (line and wash)
I made this painting from an old sketch. It shows the old Wasserturm (water-tower) part of the fortification of the town of Nürnberg (Germany). It is a famous place if you visit Nürnberg: https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wasserturm_(N%C3%BCrnberg). The bridge to the right leads to a tower, where the executor lived (Henkerturm). It is on a small island in the river (Pegnitz). You can go over the bridge and the following wooden bridge (Henkerbridge). Color: W&N; paper: cellulose. I am quite pleased how it turned out. Maybe a bit Lebkuchen-boxy. All recommendations are welcome. And of course, here is the recipe for the famous Lebkuchen from Nürnberg: https://www.internationaldessertsblog.com/easy-german-lebkuchen-recipe-nurnberger-elisenlebkuchen-cookies/

Thank you, Trevor! Yes, I am often struggling with the darks. First they look too dark and when it dries too light. Probably I do not have enough experience.
I think this bush was some ivy in my sketch. It filled more on the wall there.
