100% cellulose paper

It is what Oliver wrote under my post on Instagram. There is a tendency you can not paint watercolours on cellulose paper.

This one is painted on a block of 300 grams Bockingford.

If you are inspired, and go over, and buy a block of Bockingford. Don't expect you can paint on it like your normal paper. Let's say Arches or Saunders Waterford. You need extra skills and techniques. I read a lot of times the paper is not good for their techniques. In real it is the opposite, their techniques are not enough for the paper.

A beautiful painting - I love your loose approach and your colours. I occasionally paint on 100% cellulose Hahnemühle "Bütten" , but I will definitely try Bockingford.
