Twig trouble, Winchester
Not strictly a landscape but a favourite corner on College Street, Winchester. But look at this absolute faff of twigs in the foreground. I want to include them in some form for depth but how can I improve on over-working such things?

But amongst the "faff" there is some great counterchange. Perhaps the twigs are not so much the problem as the dry brush that masks their contrast with the sky. Neverthe less, this is a very lovely painting of a spot I know well.
