Behind my house lies 5,000 acres of public land. I used to walk and explore it daily. Now I'm physically able to do only short jaunts, but as well as I know that land, it still thrills me to see it in different seasons and different light. This is a reference photo I took a few years ago in early fall. I just ran across it recently and decided to try to paint it This is the result.
