Australian Horizon
This high key sketch is from my current series of watercolours that record the landscape of this property in western NSW, that was home for my family over four generations. Have tried to suggest the stillness, and the quiet, peaceful experience of the place as well as the vastness of the sky and the endless line of the horizon . This painting sets the space of the landscape and the balance of earth and sky. Waterford 300g. W&N - Raw Sienna, Rose Madder Genuine, Cobalt Blue.

I think that design and composition are probably intuitive for me after after many years of drawing and painting, so placement of the trees was just part of the design of the whole painting . This is a very familiar landscape as I used to ride my pony here. Thanks for your comments Marco and interest in the composition.
