A view across the uplands
I was up in the hills this morning and though I haven't painted for a while I thought I would have a go at a view seen this morning, slightly adapted to get rid of the square blocks of conifer plantation on the distant hill. The hawthorns are overladen this year, the gorse is in flower (isn't it always?) and the kites were flying overhead. All comments welcome

Thanks Paul. The sky was done in two stages - a pale grey wash leaving gaps of white paper. This was left to dry (overninght as it happens as I have to find small amounts of timne to paint at the moment!) then I rewetted the paper and put on a darker grey wash letting the paint swirl around a bit around the white areas. For the grey see my replies to Erik or Trevor.
