Winter Sunrise
A couple weeks ago, we went out for a sunrise bird walk hoping to see some short eared owls. No owls were sighted but I was taken by the sunlight coming through the woods. Tried to capture the stark winter landscape and warm sunrise. I’m posting my reference photo and watercolor version.

Patty, you've been very successful at accomplishing your goals of capturing the starkness and the contrast between dark landscape and the rising sun. Your almost stylized technique is very interesting. Good job!
