The hunters cabin

I used to hunt a lot. This is a memorybased painting in honour of my friend who passed away a couple of months ago. He always beat me back to the cabins and started a fire in the stowe.

The memory was triggered by Birgits painting of waterlilys, and to wich I commented that I find black water ponds difficult. The struggle goes on! Painted on Millford cp with Indigo, Ultramarine, Venetian red with a bit of alizarin, Yellow ochre and Burnt umber. Also a little Ivory black.

I think it's a quiet, peaceful place! Very nice colours, Seija!
