I was sorting through some recent paintings and came across this scene. It's in total contrast to the cold weather we are having this week. I used a reference photo and some sketches made on the spot during a trip in late spring last year.

Compton Bay, Isle of Wight. Looking towards Freshwater Bay and the Needles. We could not resist spending time here on our way to the Needles. The cliff is suffering badly from erosion and the car park seemed precariously near the edge.
