Windmills in Kinderdijk, the Netherlands.

My husband and I visited Kinderdijk to see windmills last year. Since we were in an escorted tour, I didn't have time to sketch on site. After I came back to the hotel, I made a couple of skeches when my memory of the site was still fresh in my mind. I finally had a chance to turn one of the sketches to a painting. I think I made the sky too dark, but I am happy with the overall result. As always, your comment is always appreciated. H.

paper:Centenaire, 9x12 rough 100% cotten, 140 lbs/300 gm

BTW: It is the first time I used this paper and I am very impressed. It handles the wash very well.
