This is a favourite walk near Winchester, and I've wanted to paint this scene for a long time. I've hesitated because it took a while to decide on an effective composition.

Lovely to see a painting of yours again, Howard, and it is such a good one! I find it really hard to create balance in quite a busy scene like this, but you've really hit the spot here. Superb!
