Northamptonshire countryside.

I haven't been able to paint for a few weeks and felt a bit rusty today. I was a little impatient and there are places where things were too damp and I should have waited, or used the hairdryer. But it felt good to be painting and that's the main thing.

This is a scene near Kelmarsh in Northamptonshire, not far from the Leicestershire border. There is lots of undulating farmland in this area and coming along the road from Harrington to Kelmarsh during a visit last year, I had to stop the car and take a few pictures,

A different view of the same scene, following Trevor's suggestion in his comment below. (Match stick and sketching ink)
