Oldies, but not so baddies

Making some place in my canvases, I've come to find those two drawings from 2008 and 2010. The second is a clear progress from the first. Since then, I've quite abandoned watercolour for acrylic but now that I'm into again, I will try to see what can I achieve now for the same view with all the recent tips I've gathered here and there. I'll post it when done.

This is a view from my BOIS ancestor's village since around 1600 : la beaudie in central France

Wow, this is such a great reference to have where you can clearly see how your skill developed over time, particularly in the use of colour, tone and intensity. I'm a bit glad I don't have something like this to refer to as I fear at this stage the pictures would be in the opposite positions I am so out of practice 😁. I do hope looking at your past use of watercolour and all your newly learned tips that you will have a go with this great medium again.
